Military Personnel and Veterans

Military Personnel

Homeowners who receive military orders to relocate, PCS, or deploy may continue to receive the Homeowner’s Exemption on their primary residence.

  • A new application must be submitted each year to maintain the exemption.

  • If you separate from military service and are no longer living in the home, the exemption will be removed.

  • If you move out by personal choice (not due to military orders), you will not qualify for the exemption.

Applications can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to you. For assistance, please contact the Assessor’s Office at 208-587-2126.

  • Own and occupy the home as their primary residence.
