Homeowners who receive military orders to relocate, PCS, or deploy may continue to receive the Homeowner’s Exemption on their primary residence.
A new application must be submitted each year to maintain the exemption.
If you separate from military service and are no longer living in the home, the exemption will be removed.
If you move out by personal choice (not due to military orders), you will not qualify for the exemption.

Veterans with a 100% service-connected disability may qualify for a special property tax reduction.
The maximum benefit is $1,500, not to exceed the amount of the veteran’s actual property taxes.
To qualify, the veteran must:
Have a 100% service-connected disability.
Own and occupy the home as their primary residence.
Provide documentation verifying the 100% service-connected disability.
Applications may be submitted between January 1 and April 15 each year.
