The Elmore County Sheriff’s Civil Division Office is located at 2255 East 8th North Mountain Home, Idaho 83647. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed on all Federal Holidays.
The Civil Division of the Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the timely and lawful service of court documents within our jurisdiction. Our deputies serve legal papers such as summonses, subpoenas, complaints, writs, evictions, protection and no contact orders, and other court documents in accordance with state law.
We understand that legal matters can be stressful, and we are committed to handling every service with professionalism, impartiality, and respect. Our team works closely with the courts, county attorneys, and members of the public to ensure documents are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Some of the things We Do NOT Do:
Provide information on the people you want served. You must provide an address as well as any information to help us get your papers served.
We cannot and do not serve individuals outside of Elmore County.
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office does not provide legal advice. If you need legal advice, please seek out an attorney.
The Civil Division does not provide Civil Standbys. If you require a civil standby, please call the Elmore County Dispatch Center’s non-emergency line at 208-587-2100.
All services require fees to be paid before service is attempted.

A date and time will be set for the lock out, please make sure you have someone available to meet the Deputy at the arranged time to change the locks.

1 copy of the Judgement
A Self Addressed Stamped Envelope
4 Signed copies of the Writ of Execution
2 Copies of the Notice of Garnishment
2 Copies of the Interrogatories to Garnishee
2 Copies of the Wage Garnishment Worksheet
2 Copies of the Claim of Exemption
2 Copies of the Notice of Exemption
2 Copies of the Instructions to Debtors and Third Parties

Bank Garnishment requires a separate payment in the form of a check made out to the bank of $7.00
Please include 2 copies of your summons and one copy of the supporting documents, i.e. petitions, claims, complaints.

Prepaid fees will cover the costs of newspaper postings, postings, recording fees, paper service fees etc. Any excess fees will be refunded after the sale.
