Driver’s Licenses

Driver’s Licenses and Identification Cards can be obtained at the Driver’s License Office located at 125 South 5th East (the corner of S 5th East/Jackson St) on Monday thru Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm excluding holidays.  Please take a number and you will be helped as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE:  TO ENSURE WE ARE ABLE TO SERVE EVERYONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND CLOSE PROMPTLY AT THE END OF THE BUSINESS DAY, WE MAY STOP ISSUING NUMBERS FOR SERVICE PRIOR TO CLOSING TIME WHEN THE NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS EXCEEDS OUR CAPACITY.

Please have all of your required documents.  Electronic copies will not be accepted nor will they printed for you.   Written testing for Drivers Licenses and Identification Cards is 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on these days with the exception of CDL (Commercial Driver Licenses) testing. CDL testing is during the hours of 9:00 AM  to 2:00 PM these days. Concealed Weapon Permits are issued by appointment only.  The phone number is 208-587-1888 option 3.
