May 19, 2026 Deadlines:

• Absentee Requests reopen January 2, 2026. 2026 Absentee Form 
• Candidate Filing Period for County Offices, Precinct Committeemen and Nonpartisan Candidates is March 2-13th 2026. (Paperwork will be available at a later date.)
• Write-In Candidate Filing Deadline is March 20,2026 at 5pm.
• Candidate Withdrawal deadline for County offices, Precinct Committeeman, and Nonpartisan offices is March 20, 2026 at5pm.
• Ballot Question Submission Deadline is March 13, 2026 at 5pm.
• March 13, 2026 is the last day voters can change their party affiliation before the May election.
• Absentee Requests & Voter Registration will close May 8, 2026 at 5pm.

**All Deadlines are due to the county on the deadline date by 5pm. 

Early Voting 

Early Absentee voting dates for the May 2026 election will be announced. The location of early voting is 2280 American Legion Blvd Mountain Home, Id 83647. It will be held in the main lobby. Early absentee voting will be held from 9am-5pm weekdays.

The absentee ballot request form for 2026 is available starting January 2nd. You are able to download it here and bring it in or mail it to us. Or if you’d prefer to fill it out online you can on voteidaho.gov.
