Volunteer Resident Public Safety Communications Board
The Elmore County Board of Commissioners is accepting letters of interest for a volunteer resident to be appointed to the Elmore County Public Safety Communications Board and Roadway Name Committee. Volunteer resident must have residence which lies in the area north of the east west line drawn through Lockman Butte and west of the north south line drawn through House Mountain, (Mayfield, Oasis, Tipanuk, and Prairie).
The regular meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month and both meetings are held in Mountain Home. The Elmore County Public Safety Communications Board members are appointed by the Elmore County Board of Commissioners with recommendation from the Elmore County Public Safety Communications Board. The members are appointed for a term of three years, and have the responsibility for the selection and prioritization of expenditures made from telephone user fee funds (subject to veto by the Elmore County Board of Commissioners). The Roadway Name Committee determines street names in Elmore County in accordance with the Elmore County Uniform Address and Street Naming Ordinance.
