1. System Administrator Information Technology    Open

General responsibilities include:  Responsible for the County’s information technology and computer systems.  Position is responsible for peripheral equipment, networks, and providing support for users’ software and hardware needs.  Ensures continuity of computer services for users throughout the County through planning, technical leadership and project coordination.  See attached job description for additional requirements and certifications.

2. Elmore County Detention Center Deputy    Open

General Statement of Duties

Supervises inmates in county jail in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures and in the providing of security to the Elmore County Detention Center; performs related duties as required. 3. Elmore County Juvenile Probation Officer   Open until May 18th 2018

Full-time position with the Elmore County Justice Services Department.   Hourly pay offered $18.10 DOE/DOQ, plus an exceptional benefits package including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance and vacation/sick/holiday leave.  Primary duties include case management functions and supervision of court ordered probation of juveniles.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or other closely related field; ability to communicate effectively; good physical condition and ability to work on-call hours on a regular basis.  Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check, pass a drug test, and complete the State of Idaho POST Academy for Juvenile Probation Officers within twelve months of hire.

4. Juvenile Community Service Work Crew Officer   Open until May 25th 2018 or until filled.

Part-time position with the Elmore County Justice Services Department.   Pay offered at $13.23 per hour, schedule is Monday-Friday with hours varying, and no benefit package is included.  Primary duties include supervising juveniles ordered to perform community service work, document hours performed, and ensure the safety of all juveniles assigned.  The Community Service Work Crew Officer transports juveniles in a county owned 15 passenger van. The work includes maintaining positive behavior of the juveniles in a group setting while conducting tasks assigned to the work crew, collaborate with various local agencies, and evaluate performance.  The community service officer works closely with other members of the juvenile probation department and must follow program guidelines and all agency policy and procedures.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; General knowledge of juvenile justice system and purpose, verbal de-escalation techniques, and ability to operate various hand tools preferred.   Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check.

5. Motor Vehicle Specialist   Open until May 25th 2018.

 

Full-time position with the Elmore County Assessor’s Department.   Hourly pay offered $13.99 DOE/DOQ, plus an exceptional benefits package including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance and vacation/sick/holiday leave.  Primary duties include a variety of clerical, administrative and customer service duties to process titles of ownership and the acquisition of license plates as required by law to engage in certain transportation activities. 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; Previous office or customer service experience preferred.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, and be able to enter, exit, and crawl under motor vehicles as well as mobile homes and recreational vehicles to perform inspections (to include truck beds, boats, and campers) with or without reasonable accommodation.
